Services Description
- Water and Wastewater – provides water and wastewater utility services
- Water Management – construction and maintenance of drainage facilities and infrastructure, including pump stations, canals, water bodies, swales, and stormwater conveyance systems. Compliance with water quality requirements mandated by various State and Federal agencies. Operating expenses include engineering, legal, and audit services, canal mowing and aquatic vegetation control, regulatory costs, materials, supplies, and equipment for maintaining infrastructure.

Code of Ethics
With the incorporation, the Loxahatchee Groves Water Control District became a dependent district of the Town of Loxahatchee Groves and the two entities share the same governing boards with the Town of Loxahatchee Groves Council acting as the Board of Supervisors for the Water Control District.

The Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees, adopted by the Legislature as Part III of Chapter 112, Florida Statutes, contains standards of ethical conduct and disclosures applicable to public officers, employees, candidates, lobbyists, and others in State and local government, with the exception of judges. The Code of Ethics (Chapter 112, Part III, Florida Statutes – Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees), was created to help:
- Prevent conflicts between public duty and private interests
- Ensure that public sector employees and officers will not use government office for private gain

The Establishing Entity for the Loxahatchee Groves Water Control District is the Florida Legislature. The Loxahatchee Groves Water Control District was originally created in 1917 under the provisions of Chapter 298, Florida Statutes, commonly referred to as the General Drainage Law of Florida.
